Kyle Trask is back in the NFC South after signing with a new team

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers took a gamble by selecting in-state quarterback sensation Kyle Trask in the 2021 NFL Draft. He was drafted with the hope he could eventually be the franchise quarterback after Tom Brady retired, but rather, he would never earn the chance to start a game.

He would leave the team by not being re-signed in 2025, and he would be signed to the Atlanta Falcons practice squad. He would hit free agency again, and now he is once again staying in the NFC South.

On Saturday, Kyle Trask signed with the Carolina Panthers in the middle of their training camp.

Trask reunites with his former playcaller with the Bucs, who is now the Panthers’ head coach, Dave Canales. He will backup Bryce Young following the injury to Hall of Fame game hero, Haynes King.
