Konrad Laimer ‘far along’ in contract talks with Bayern Munich

According to a report from Sport Bild journalists Christian Falk and Heiko Niedderer (as captured by @iMiaSanMia_GER), Austria international Konrad Laimer is closing in on a new contract with Bayern Munich.

Just a few weeks ago, Laimer, an extremely popular player among fans, was rumored to have a significant enough gap in what he wanted vs. what Bayern Munich was willing to pay that it seemed like he could leave the club. Per the report, Bayern Munich supervisory board member Uli Hoeneß stepped in and help get things in motion for an extension:
