While every team earns a parade upon winning a championship, there is something different about winning a title in New York City. The city has hosted its fair share of parades, both for sports championships and otherwise, but a Knicks title parade will be a different kind of celebration.

When is the Knicks’ championship parade?
According to New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani, the Knicks championship parade will be held on Thursday, June 18. A time for the celebration has not been announced.

Knicks parade route
New York teams that win the title always have the same parade route up the “Canyon of Heroes.” The route usually begins at Battery Park as the parade goes up Broadway to City Hall in the Financial District.
The last team to receive a championship parade was the New York Liberty, who used the route after winning the WNBA title in 2024. The U.S. Women’s National Team also used the parade route when they returned to the United States after winning the 2019 World Cup.
A men’s New York team hasn’t had a parade since the New York Giants, who had their second parade in five years back in 2012. The New York Yankees also last had a parade when they won the World Series in 2009.
