Klopp’s agent denies Real Madrid links

Jürgen Klopp’s agent Marc Kosicke has dismissed assertions by Real Madrid presidential candidate Enrique Riquelme, who claimed the German coach was his top choice to lead the team if he wins Sunday’s election.

“It’s annoying, Jürgen Klopp is content in his role at Red Bull and has no ambitions of coaching a club. The Real Madrid chapter is currently closed for him, especially given the present situation and surrounding circumstances. The only job he finds particularly appealing in the future is the German national team,” said Kosicke in quotes for Sky Germany.

Riquelme is unlikely to win the election, but he will almost certainly have to look elsewhere for his coaching position even if he manages to beat Florentino Pérez today.
