The Kansas City Chiefs are the last remaining undefeated team in the AFC, and at 4-0, there are a lot of players worth thanking.

But one of the more important ones to give credit to is running back Kenneth Walker III. He’s been incredible for the Chiefs through four weeks, and he’s even made some franchise history in the process.

As Sports Center shared following another incredible game in Week 4 against the Las Vegas Raiders, Walker’s 537 rushing yards through four games is the most by any Chiefs player in the first four games of a season in franchise history.

“K9 is a DAWG,” Sports Center posted to Twitter/x. “Kenneth Walker III’s 537 rushing yards through Week 4 is the most rushing yards by a Chiefs player in that span.”

Walker was having a relatively slow day, by his standards so far this season, heading into the late third quarter. But he had a 76-yard run up the right sideline to put the Chiefs inside the 10-yard line.

After a few more carries throughout the game, including a 22-yard rushing touchdown to put the game away, Walker finished Week 4 with 177 rushing yards and two touchdowns on 22 attempts.

The week prior against the Miami Dolphins, he ran the ball 18 times for 70 yards and a touchdown. In Week 2, he ran for 117 yards on 24 attempts, and then in Week 1 he went for 173 yards and a touchdown on 23 attempts.

Through just four games, Walker has 537 rushing yards and four touchdowns on 87 attempts, good for 6.17 yards per rushing attempt.

No player in Chiefs’ franchise history has ever reached such a yardage total through the first four weeks of a season. Walker stands alone atop Chiefs’ franchise history with this remarkable start to not only the 2026 season, but his Chiefs tenure.
