Kebbi ADC office allegedly targeted in suspected arson attack

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, office in Marafa Ward, Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, was reportedly targeted in a suspected arson attempt on Friday.

According to the party, unidentified persons allegedly attempted to set fire to the office and destroy its banners in the Field of Sarki area of the ward.

The fire was reportedly put out by people nearby before it could cause significant damage.

The incident has raised concerns among some ADC members in the state, with party supporters condemning the alleged attack and calling for measures to prevent a recurrence.

The ward chairman and other party officials were said to have notified security personnel following the incident.

Hon. Abdulrahaman Ibrahim Sahihi, Director of Youth and Students Mobilisation of the ADC Kebbi State Campaign Council, condemned the incident after visiting the office to sympathise with supporters and officials.

Sahihi said the incident was the second similar occurrence involving the party’s office in the ward.

No individual or group has been officially identified as responsible for the alleged attack, while security operatives are expected to investigate.
