Juventus plan €50m Carnesecchi move as Inter and Premier League clubs circle

Juventus have earmarked Marco Carnesecchi as the goalkeeper they want next summer, though landing him will depend on Champions League football and a substantial fee.

According to Tuttosport, via Calciomercato, the Bianconeri have tracked the 26-year-old for some time. Cristiano Giuntoli would not have slammed the door on an offer around €50m this summer, but nobody met it.

Vicario and Grabara were stopgaps for Juventus

Juventus spent the window trying to find a reliable number one on a limited budget. Emiliano Martinez and Aston Villa’s demands were judged too expensive, so the club turned first to Guglielmo Vicario, signed on loan from Tottenham with an €8m option, and then to Kamil Grabara.

Both were short-term fixes. Grabara’s ACL injury now forces Frederic Massara to look at the free agent list, but the intention is to invest properly in July.

Carnesecchi’s contract at Atalanta runs to summer 2028 with no sign of renewal talks progressing, which may tempt suitors to test the Percassi family for a discount.

Juventus are not alone. Inter, the club Carnesecchi supported as a boy, will assess Josep Martinez and Ivan Provedel this season before deciding, while Premier League interest is a standing threat.
