Juventus are closing in on a permanent deal to sign Randal Kolo Muani and are also hoping to bring in Bosnia-Herzegovina’s World Cup star Kerim Alajbegovic, chief executive Giovanni Carnevali has revealed.
The Bianconeri are preparing for their first full season under Luciano Spalletti, having missed out on Champions League qualification after finishing sixth in Serie A last term.
They have prioritised attacking reinforcements, with Kolo Muani a top target after he enjoyed a successful loan spell in Turin in 2025.
Kolo Muani scored 10 goals in 22 appearances during his first stint at Juve before having another, less successful loan stay at Tottenham, where he netted five times in 41 games.
And Carnevali has confirmed an agreement is close for the Frenchman to return to Italy on a permanent basis.
“We are closing the Kolo Muani deal now, it’s a negotiation that has been going on for a long time,” Carnevali said, as quoted by Calciomercato.
“When I arrived at Juve, I read in the papers that it was already a done deal, but that wasn’t the case.
“There were difficulties, and we had to repair relations with Paris Saint-Germain, fixing the previous problems. We’re finalising it in these hours and we’re in the concluding phase.”
Carnevali has also revealed Juve are hoping to sign 18-year-old winger Alajbegovic from Bayer Leverkusen.
Alajbegovic, who was on loan at Austrian Bundesliga side Salzburg in 2025-26, appeared in all four of Bosnia-Herzegovina’s games at the World Cup, scoring one goal and leading all his team-mates for dribbles attempted (18) and completed (10), and open-play chances created (four, joint with Esmir Bajraktarevic and Ivan Basic).
“Alajbegovic? With him, we are a little further behind, but we are working on it,” Carnevali said.
“It is an important investment, but a club like Juve must also think about the future. He was born in 2007 and has the characteristics we are looking for.
“In any case, we count on making both these players available to our coach Spalletti as soon as possible.
“In this summer market we still have a lot to do, especially with outgoings, and we have to make several operations. For me, the transfer market should close before the start of the season.”
Juventus open their Serie A campaign against Frosinone on August 23, with Jeff Ekhator, Jeremie Boga and Zeki Celik their new arrivals to date. They also clinched a permanent transfer for Lois Openda, only to loan him out to Lyon.
