While the summer transfer window might have only slammed shut a fortnight ago following the September 1st deadline, clubs from across the continent are already putting together their January plans.
European giants Juventus and Atletico Madrid are both weighing up a potential swoop for Arsenal’s Noni Madueke when the window reopens, according to CaughtOffside.
Left as an unused substitute during the Gunners’ 2-0 victory away at Sunderland on Saturday night, the 24-year-old is quickly becoming a forgotten man in north London.
Only featuring for one-minute of Premier League action in any of Arsenal‘s last three consecutive Premier League appearances, the reemergence of a fit Bukayo Saka has certainly been a real dent to Madueke’s role in Mikel Arteta’s attack.
Shockingly part of Thomas Tuchel’s World Cup squad over the summer, CaughtOffside are reporting that both Juventus and Atletico Madrid are keeping a close eye on proceedings.
Only completing a £48.5million switch from bitter London rivals Chelsea last summer, Madueke’s current deal with the reigning Premier League champions runs until 2030.
Despite making 26 top-flight appearances in his maiden campaign under Arteta’s guidance last season, the one-time PSV starlet could only register a trio of Premier League strikes.
While the Gunners might not be in a position where they need to cash in on the 16-cap international, there is already growing conversations over his long-term future at the Emirates.
CaughtOffside’s report suggests that both European giants are exploiting a potential January deal that would be an initial loan, including a buy option at the end of the 2026/27 campaign.
