Will Simmons be able to take the field to face Indianapolis in primetime?

Here’s the latest update on Simmons’ status ahead of Kansas City’s tilt with the Colts:

Simmons is dealing with a back injury and did not participate in any of the Chiefs’ workouts in Week 2. He has officially been assigned a game status designation of “OUT” and will not play against Indianapolis on ‘Sunday Night Football.’

Now set to miss a second straight game, there is no clear timeline for Simmons’ return to action.

With Simmons set to be relegated to the sideline in Week 2, Kansas City will have rookie blocker Kahlil Benson manning the left tackle position against the Colts on ‘Sunday Night Football.’
