Josh Huepel nails Pat McAfee passing challenge for charity

It’s been 26 years since Josh Huepel threw a pass in a game. He doesn’t appear to have lost his accuracy.

The Tennessee coach accepted Pat McAfee’s passing challenge ahead of their matchup against No. 1 Texas today. For $100,000 to charity, Huepel had to hit the crossbar from 25 yards away. Huepel made it look easy, getting an animated reaction out of McAfee.

Huepel was Oklahoma’s starting quarterback for two seasons before a shoulder injury ended his NFL career before it truly began. Now he’s built a solid program in Knoxville, and it’s looking to knock off a No. 1-ranked team for the first time since taking down Bo Jackson and Auburn back in 1985.

Kickoff for Texas at Tennessee begins at noon.
