Jonathan Kuminga allegedly turned down the Los Angeles Lakers in favor of the Minnesota Timberwolves.
Jonathan Kuminga has gone from being touted as the next superstar of the Golden State Warriors to accepting a role as a supporting cast with the Minnesota Timberwolves in less than a year.
After getting traded to the Atlanta Hawks last season, Kuminga entered the offseason as a highly-rated free agent. However, after weeks of rumors, Kuminga ultimately signed a two-year, $12.4 million deal with the T-Wolves.

Jonathan Kuminga turning down LA Lakers for Minnesota Timberwolves rumor exposed
According to Marc Jacos on X, Kuminga apparently had a chance to sign with the Purple and Gold. However, the 25-year-old allegedly chose the Timberwolves without being ‘disrespectful’ to the Lakers.
In his viral X post, Jacobs has claimed that Kuminga felt the Lakers weren’t the ‘right environment’ at this stage in his career.
That isn’t all; Jacobs also credited The Athletic for the report. However, in reality, there’s no report from the publication that supports these claims.
Keeping that in mind, Jacobs’ claim of Kuminga snubbing the Lakers for the Timberwolves is false, and there’s no credible report to support it, at least for now.
