Jonathan Celebrates as Son Graduates from UK University

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has celebrated another academic milestone in his family as his son, Ariwera Jonathan, graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom.

Photos from the graduation ceremony, which have gone viral on social media, showed Jonathan and his wife, former First Lady Patience Jonathan, joining family members to celebrate the occasion.

The pictures captured the former president and his wife posing with the graduate, alongside Ariwera’s siblings and other relatives, marking the successful completion of his university education.

The graduation comes about a year after Jonathan attended the graduation ceremony of his daughter, who earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) degree from the University of Essex in Colchester, England.

Jonathan had attended the ceremony on July 17, 2025, to celebrate his daughter’s academic achievement, continuing the family’s tradition of marking significant educational milestones.
