Joe Fagnano will be Ravens QB on Thursday night

Ravens quarterback Joe Fagnano practiced on Tuesday and he’s set to play on Thursday.

Head coach Jesse Minter told reporters after Tuesday’s practice that Fagnano will start against the Jaguars. Fagnano practiced with a heavy brace on his right ankle, but is healthy enough to make his first NFL start.

Fagnano will be the second undrafted rookie to start a game in Ravens history. Anthony Brown was the first during the 2022 season.

Fagnano made his first regular season appearance in Sunday’s loss to the Bills after injuries to Lamar Jackson and Tyler Huntley. He was 10-of-21 for 91 yards and an interception.

The injuries led the Ravens to sign Kedon Slovis to the active roster and Austin Reed to the practice squad over the last couple of days. If Fagnano has to leave the game, one of them is in line to become the next man up at quarterback in Baltimore.
