Jets fans are confident entering the 2026 season (with a catch)

The 2026 season is set to begin.

Throughout the campaign, we will take a barometer reading on how confident Jets fans are in the team’s direction with our weekly SB Nation Reacts survey.

A new season brings new optimism at least as far as our initial SB Nation Reacts confidence survey suggests.

Obviously a 63 percent confidence rating means that more than half of the fans who voted in our unscientific poll feel good about the Jets heading into the season.

That is a pretty solid mark. It is lower than we have seen in recent years, however. Last year in our first survey, 76 percent of Jets fans were confident in the team’s direction. Two years ago our initial poll had an 83 percent confidence rating with 91 percent of voters expecting a winning season.

So Jets fans are optimistic, but that optimism is a bit more guarded this year than it has been in the past.
