Jets Could Trade Offensive Talent Following Breece Hall Signing

The New York jets">Jets wrapped up their first year under head coach Aaron Glenn with a dismal 3-14 record. It was a gutting performance from the franchise, but Glenn was tasked with a big responsibility, since the team was in shambles when he got it, so these things can take time.

Now, Glenn and the team are making moves ahead of the 2026 season. Moe Moton of Bleacher Report has released a feature where he names one blockbuster trade each franchise should make before the 2026 season starts. “We could get more transactional fireworks this summer, or at least see moves that we expected teams to make, like the Brown deal, before final roster cuts on August 30,” he states.

For the Jets, he wants them to trade running back Isaiah Davis, noting that the team “signed Breece Hall to a three-year, $43.5 million extension, which ensures he’ll maintain a featured role in their ground attack.”

“Braelon Allen and Isaiah Davis will be limited in backup duties, though the latter has shown the ability to take on a three-down role,” he adds, also noting that “Davis finished the previous season with 422 scrimmage yards and a touchdown, while on the field for just 29 percent of the offensive snaps.”

Allen is only 22, so he has a lot of potential ahead, and the Jets could develop him. But, they really don’t have much time for development, and a trade might be a better move for their camp.
