Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie Officially Reunite for New Netflix Movie
When two of the most consistent and outstanding action star-director combos in Hollywood get to history, we like to sit up and pay attention. Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie are officially reuniting for Dogfight, a brand-new Netflix action thriller written, directed, and produced by Ritchie, with Statham set to star. According to Deadline, the movie is described as a stylish revenge thriller set within London’s criminal underworld, with production scheduled to begin in the United Kingdom in early 2027.
This one will be the seventh collaboration between the two British action heavyweights, who first worked together on Ritchie’s 1998 directorial debut, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels. While Netflix has yet to reveal specific plot details or additional cast members, the combination of Statham, Ritchie, and London’s criminal underworld should give audiences a fairly good idea of the sort of movie they’re getting. We’ll get plenty of violence, we’ll get plenty of questionable characters, and we’ll get one idiot who makes the dumb decision to upset Jason Statham.

Jason Statham and Guy Ritchie Have Another Movie Coming First
Before Dogfight arrives, the pair will reunite for Viva La Madness, an adaptation of J.J. Connolly‘s novel of the same name. The movie serves as a sequel to Connolly’s Layer Cake, which was previously adapted into the acclaimed 2004 crime thriller starring Daniel Craig.
Ritchie and Connolly co-wrote the screenplay for Viva La Madness, which will feature an ensemble including Statham, Vinnie Jones (Snatch), Jason Isaacs (The White Lotus), Babs Olusanmokun (Dune), Camila Mendes (Riverdale), Ben Foster (Hell or High Water), Jonny Lee Miller (Elementary), and Raúl Alejandro, who will make his feature film debut.
The new Netflix project follows the pair’s previous collaborations on Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Snatch, Revolver, Wrath of Man, and Operation Fortune: Ruse de Guerre, with Viva La Madness set to become their sixth movie together.
The announcement also continues Ritchie’s increasingly busy relationship with Netflix, which has become home to several of his recent projects, including The Gentlemen. And with Statham continuing to dominate the action genre, another collaboration between the two seems like a fairly safe bet for anybody who enjoys watching criminals make terrible decisions.
Production on Dogfight is scheduled to begin in early 2027 in the United Kingdom. Netflix has not yet announced an official release date.
