James Hope university, Lagos ministry explore strategic partnership
He said the accreditation exercise for the Master of Business Administration (MBA) and the finance programme was conducted in May 2026, while the remaining three programmes received accreditation in July 2026.
“In May 2026, we had the accreditation exercise for the MBA and the finance programmes, which was fully approved. In July this year, our remaining three programmes got accredited,” he said.
Akinkugbe said the university was particularly pleased with the performance of its Economic Development and Policy Analysis programme during the accreditation exercise.
“I am so proud to say that the economic development and analysis programmes got 98.9 per cent in the accreditation exercise, so as we speak, all five programmes have been excellently and fully accredited,” he said.
The five programmes offered by the institution are Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Finance, Master of Science in Economic Development and Policy Analysis, Master of Science in FinTech and Analytics, and Master of Science in Innovation, Intrapreneurship and Entrepreneurship.
The exploratory meeting marks an initial step towards possible collaboration between James Hope University and the Lagos State Ministry of Information and Strategy, with discussions centred on professional development, research and the wider application of the university’s expertise within the state public service.
