Jaguars’ Travon Walker mentioned among top edge rushers in 2026 rankings

On Jeremy Fowler’s annual top edge rusher rankings, the Jacksonville Jaguars’ Travon Walker was briefly mentioned.

While it’s Fowler who puts these rankings together, they are not based solely on his opinion. Rather, NFL execs, coaches, and scouts are the ones who have the say as voters. Interviews, research, and film study by analyst Matt Bowen also factor into the equation.

Once compiled, Fowler then builds out the top 10 list, the honorable mentions, and at the end, is a category for those who received votes — that’s where Walker’s name appeared.

So of the 70 voters who put their top 10 lists together, at least one had Walker ranked. Although we do not know the specifics of how many votes Walker received.

Likely impacting Walker’s standing in these rankings was that he navigated injuries and missed time in 2025, which impacted his overall production.

But during his time in Jacksonville, he has proved to be an ascending player and someone who can impact both the run and passing games.

During each of the 2023 and 2024 seasons, Walker recorded 10-plus sacks and ranked in the top 25 among his position group in quarterback pressures, according to PFF.

To go along with that pass rush production, Walker has remained stout against the run and brings versatility to the defensive front as well.

SI’s Albert Breer recently noted that Walker is showing signs of taking another step forward following offseason programs.

A fully healthy season paired with Walker’s continued ascension could result in him climbing in these rankings in 2027.
