Jackson joined Chelsea from Villarreal in 2023 and scored 30 goals in 81 appearances for the Blues across all competitions.
The 25-year-old spent last term on loan at Bayern Munich, where he served as understudy to Harry Kane and scored 11 goals.
Jackson could be set to make his Villa debut on Monday, when they host Premier League champions Arsenal.
Villa were hammered 4-0 by Brighton in their opening game of the season.
Earlier on Friday, news broke that Villa were closing in on signing Jackson’s Senegalese compatriot Ibrahim Mbaye from Paris Saint-Germain.
