‘It’s illegal to arrest me here’ — Odumodublvck clashes with police officers

Nigerian rapper, Odumodublvck, clashed with police officers during an event on Saturday morning, insisting that it was illegal for them to arrest him at the venue.

In a video circulating online, an officer could be heard asking Odumodublvck why he was resisting arrest, after telling him that an invitation had been sent to him.

“Invitation was sent to you, it’s okay. What I want to ask you now, are you resisting an arrest? If you’re not resisting an arrest, tell me why you are not following the police?” The police officer said.

Responding to the officer, Odumodublvck said his lawyers had already handled the matter and questioned the police officers’ jurisdiction.

“You don’t have any jurisdiction, that’s what you want to do. Don’t tell me to wait,” he said.

The rapper claimed police officers had earlier gone to his residence and told people in his estate not to inform him about the matter, adding that he subsequently contacted his lawyers.

“My lawyers came to your office, I am not resisting arrest, it was attended to,” Odumodublvck said.

He also claimed that he could not be taken away from the venue because of a court order, while accusing the officers of trying to restrict his right to speak publicly about the matter.

“It is illegal to take me from here, my brother. You’re telling me not to tweet, not to speak,” he said.

The video ends with Odumodublvck continuing to challenge the officers over the attempted arrest and insisting that the matter had already been addressed by his lawyers.
