Is Jrue Holiday really coming to the 76ers?

· · 1 min read

Last time I checked, veteran point guard Jrue Holiday is a member of the Portland Trail Blazers, with a contract that runs through 2027-28 if he exercises a player option next year. But there’s weirdly a lot of online chatter about the guard returning to where it all began for him: The Philadelphia 76ers, who drafted him out of UCLA back in 2009.

What’s the deal there? Is this really happening? Would it be cool to see Holiday join the LeBron/Embiid/Brown/Maxey/Edgecombe Sixers even though they probably don’t need yet another ball-handler?

The answer is: We haven’t seen anything legitimate about this. I’ve seen a lot of social media posts, but nothing reported from true sources to say that there’s a connection. So, we’ll see if they do actually pop up at some point.
