FIFA president, Gianni Infantino, is set for an emergency meeting in Morocco with some of his senior staff, according to TalkSPORT.
Infantino has been lobbying Member Associations to back him, with Asia in particular viewed as a key battleground.
Jordanian FA President, Prince Ali Al Hussein, has alleged some of the tactics to win votes “amounts to blackmail”.
FIFA General Secretary, Mattias Grafström and Arsene Wenger have both spoken out today against Infantino’s FIFA Forward Enterprise plans.
Infantino faces a battle to get even some of his allies on side.
He is believed to be trying to establish whether he retains over 106 votes before determining next steps.
Several federations have asked for time to decide, while the Swiss FA say they want a “personal exchange” before taking a position.
