Washington, D.C., is up next for the NTT IndyCar Series, and Chip Ganassi Racing will lead the field to the green flag. Alex Palou won the pole for the 2026 Freedom 250 in Washington, D.C., this weekend. Kyle Kirkwood will join Palou on the front row for Sunday afternoon’s event. It is Palou’s seventh pole position of the 2026 season.
Scott McLaughlin and Christian Rasmussen will follow the two drivers on the second row. Most notably, Alexander Rossi, Louis Foster, Rinus VeeKay, Marcus Ericsson, and Mick Schumacher all qualified 15th or worse for Sunday’s event. It is IndyCar’s second straight weekend at a new venue.
