Hoover, who has been battling an injury to his throwing arm, was 8 of 19 for 119 yards with a touchdown and interception in the first half. He wasn’t listed on the availability report two hours before kickoff, but was briefly shaken up on a blindside hit that was flagged for a penalty on IU’s final offensive snap before halftime.

Wilson played extended snaps in a 55-0 win over Howard back in Week 2. He threw for a pair of touchdowns on his first since Indiana‘s win over Indiana State during the 2025 season.

“It was just a blessing,” Wilson said after the game. “It’s been a long journey, my whole career led me to this moment right here with coach Cignetti and this team. I love it, I love football so much, and it was just a blessing out there today.”
