Indiana Fever reveal Caitlin Clark status, injury report vs. Valkyries

After a well-earned six-day break since their last game on May 22, the Indiana Fever (4-2) have revealed their injury report for Thursday night’s game against the Golden State Valkyries (4-2) at Chase Center in San Francisco, Calif., including Caitlin Clark’s availability.

Clark missed the Fever’s May 20 game due to back soreness, which she has been mitigating throughout the start of the season, but returned in triumphant fashion with a 22-point performance in Indiana’s 90-82 win over Golden State in Indianapolis on May 22.

According to the Fever’s WNBA-mandated injury report on Wednesday night, the former Hawkeye is listed as “probable” with the back ailment billed as the reasoning for her inclusion on the report. Joining her on the report is Bree Hall, who is also listed as “probable.” However, Hall is included in the report due to an undisclosed illness.

Despite Clark only playing 13 games last season due to an assortment of soft-tissue injuries, she did manage to suit up against the Valkyries when the Fever played in San Francisco on June 19, 2025. However, the Valkyries’ aggressive defensive pressure limited Clark to just 11 points on 3-for-14 shooting and forced six turnovers in an 88-77 win over the Fever.

Through five of Indiana’s six games this season, Clark’s impressive start has set even more WNBA records, averaging 23.8 points, 9 assists, and 4.4 rebounds per game on 43.2% field-goal shooting, 34.8% 3-point shooting, and 96.4% free-throw shooting.

As the Fever face the Valkyries for the second consecutive game, Clark and the rest of the squad will look to record their fourth straight win to kick off a two-game road trip and improve to a 5-2 record on the season.
