‘I’ll control a man if I’m richer than him’ – Ayra Starr

Singer, Ayra Starr has shared her opinion on financial disparity in relationships, revealing that if she dates a man she is richer than, she would be controlling the person.

Speaking in an episode of the Wahala podcast, the ‘Bloody Samaritan’ hitmaker said her man would still be expected to provide, even if she is richer than him.

She added that she would not disclose her finances to him or let him know that she is wealthier.

“If I date a man who I am richer than, I will control him. But even if I am richer, he will still be providing, and I won’t let him know I have a lot of money,” she said.

Ayra Starr’s statement sparked mixed reactions, with many agreeing with her that “it is a man’s job to provide,” while others berated her for planning to hide her true financial status from her future partner if she is richer than him.
