Elijah Just is confident he can be a hit in the Championship after he completed a move to Swansea City.
The 26-year-old has signed a three-year contract with Swansea, with an option for another 12 months, after an impressive campaign with Motherwell and standout display for New Zealand at the World Cup.
Just scored seven goals and provided seven assists for Motherwell in 2025-26 as they finished fourth in the Scottish Premiership.
He then scored three goals at this summer’s World Cup for the All Whites, becoming the first player from his country to score a brace in the competition; he is also their all-time leading scorer in the finals (three).
Just scored with 43% of his shots at the 2026 World Cup – three goals from seven attempts – the best conversion rate of any player to have that many shots in the tournament.
The winger is now set for his first season in English football.

“I’ve watched a lot of Championship games, and it’s a tough league. I’m looking forward to playing many games, I think it’ll suit me well.
“I’m looking forward to being out there with the boys, contributing and hopefully, we can do something special.”
Swansea’s first Championship game of the season comes against Stoke City on August 8, though they face Birmingham City in the EFL Cup a week prior.
