The Carolina Hurricanes are the 2026 Stanley Cup champions, taking down the Vegas Golden Knights to secure their second title in team history.
The Hurricanes were a consistent contender for a while leading up to this title, but were never able to get over the hump. That changed this year, with Jordan Staal, Logan Stankoven and head coach Rod Brind’Amour leading the way to a dominant playoff run.
Now, it’s time for the Hurricanes to celebrate with their fans. North Carolina is not a state that has featured many professional sports titles, so this parade is worth the wait for true Hurricanes fans everywhere.
Here’s a look at where the Hurricanes will be celebrating their championship.

Hurricanes’ Stanley Cup parade route
In 2006, the Hurricanes won their last Stanley Cup and brought the only professional men’s championship to the state. That parade occurred in the early evening, beginning at NC State’s Wendell Murphy Football Center at Carter-Finley Stadium and going around what is now the Lenovo Center.
Twenty years later, it’s possible that the Hurricanes use a different parade route to cover more ground in their latest celebration. Raleigh mayor Janet Cowell told WRAL News that the parade will take place in downtown Raleigh. Details are still being finalized, per WRAL News. However, some road closures have already been announced, with Hillsborough Street, South Salisbury street and Davie Street all slated to be affected.
