How WNBA crowd reacted to Hillary Clinton’s attendance at New York Liberty game

New York Liberty were back in action on Monday evening, taking on the Seattle Storm at the Barclays Center.

The home outfit came out on top, securing a 95-83 win on the night, which leaves them seventh in the overall table, while the Storm remain in 15th place.

But while it was an entertaining game on the court, attention was also focused on the crowd, as former Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton was in attendance.

Hillary has a few homes, but her primary residence is in Chappaqua, New York.

In turn, it was perhaps not too surprising to see her make a trip to the Barclays Center on the night to watch the WNBA action unfold.

Now, a video has been shared on X/Twitter highlighting how the crowd at the match reacted to Clinton.

During proceedings, the big screen showed a close-up of Hillary, who then stood up and turned around to wave at fans.

And as Jackie Powell detailed, she got an ovation from those in attendance: “Hillary Rodham Clinton is in the house and got an ovation.

“I missed it but she got to chat with the Liberty’s big three in Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart and Jonquel Jones in addition to head coach Chris DeMarco.”
