Switzerland battled to a 0-0 draw with Colombia in the last 16 and won on penalty kicks to reach the last eight for the first time since 1954. Underestimate them at your peril.

There is clearly a problem with defending counter attacks and set pieces for Argentina and Scaloni will be working furiously on trying to shore things up at the back. But the Albiceleste do have the safety net of Messi and Co. being able to score at will at the other end whenever they’re needed. Scaloni has plenty of options in attack and midfield and has to get the balance right to make this a more solid performance. Gonzalo Montiel is the only Argentina player on a yellow card and at risk of suspension for the possible semifinal due to yellow card accumulation.
Switzerland team news, focus
There are a few injury concerns for Switzerland with Aebischer, Manzambi and Jaquez all struggling, Granit Xhaka is the captain and heartbeat of this team in midfield while Gregor Kobel has played really well in goal and Switzerland have so much big tournament experience. In attack Embolo is working so hard up top with Ndoye and Rieder supporting him from out wide. Xhaka, Denis Zakaria and Miro Muheim are all one yellow card away from a one-game suspension.
