Olivia Miles has cemented herself as one of the top rookies in the WNBA on the back of a great 2026 so far.

With the regular season over, Miles has been named Rookie of the Year and became only the sixth player in history to win the award unanimously (earning all 74 votes).

She also broke the record for most points in a rookie season (790), surpassing the previous record set by Caitlin Clark and also passing other notable stars like Paige Bueckers (fourth with 692) and A’ja Wilson (fifth with 682).

As per Spotrac, the Minnesota Lynx star is taking home $466,913 in 2026, which is quite a lot more than the names mentioned above did in their rookie years.

For example, the same website shows that Clark’s earnings during her debut season with the Indiana Fever saw her secure $76,535 in 2024.

Caitlin has since been handed a major bump in pay, though, netting $528,846 in 2026.

Meanwhile, Wilson, who may well end up winning yet another MVP award this year, was paid $52,564 during her first year back in 2018, but is now taking home $1,400,000 in 2026.

More recently, Bueckers, who is an MVP candidate this season and was drafted in 2025, earned $78,831 in her rookie season but is now earning $500,000 in 2026.
