Viewership for MVP MMA1, the MMA event featuring Ronda Rousey, peaked at 17 million during Netflix’s livestream, according to Netflix and Most Valuable Promotions.
The 11-card event at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, averaged 12.4 million viewers, according to an announcement from MVP and Netflix issued Tuesday, May 19.
In what was billed as a triple main event, Rousey defeated Gina Carano by submission with an armbar; Mike Perry defeated Nate Diaz by second-round TKO; and Francis Ngannou defeated Philipe Lins by first-round knockout.
By contrast, the 2024 fight between Jake Paul and Mike Tyson has the record as the most watched live-streamed sporting event with, according to Netflix, 108 million live viewers globally from opening to closing bell and it continued to drive viewing into the weekend with an estimated AMA of 125 million.
The all-women’s boxing card featuring Katie Taylor vs. Amanda Serrano 3 on July 11, 2025, drew 6 million global viewers, according to Netflix.
“MVP’s first entry into MMA delivered on a massive global scale and exceeded every expectation we had for the launch of this new chapter of our business,” MVP co-founders Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian said in a statement while calling the 11-fight card “one of the most-watched MMA events of all time.’’
