Each week, we take a closer look at arguably the biggest play from the Houston Texans’ game. Here’s what we viewed as the turning point from Sunday’s 26-3 win over the Tennessee Titans at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, Tenn.
The situation: Texans’ ball, third-and-11 at Houston 36-yard line.
The score: Texans 12, Titans 3
Time remaining: 11 minutes, 53 seconds in third quarter.
The sequence: C.J. Stroud found Kayshon Boutte along the right sideline, with Boutte making a terrific toe-tap to get both feet in bounds for a 23-yard catch and first down.

The aftermath: The catch kept the chains moving on arguably the Texans’ best drive of the season. They finished a 17-play, 74-yard march that took 8:23 off the clock with their first touchdown of the game. That essentially put the game out of reach against an inept Titans offense.
What might’ve been: The Texans would’ve been denied early momentum in the second half and the Titans would’ve had an opportunity to cut into their halftime deficit. Instead, they went nearly a half-hour between offensive snaps in real time.
