Hornets deliver devastating Kon Knueppel news on latest injury report

· · 1 min read

The Charlotte Hornets received even more bad news Sunday, as the team revealed their injury report for Monday’s game against the Cleveland Cavaliers. For the matchup, the Hornets will be without two starters, Kon Knueppel and Brandon Miller, who left Friday’s game due to injury. They’ll also be without Dennis Schroder and Grant Williams, who has yet to make his season debut.

To complicate matters further, Charlotte revealed that Knueppel will miss another four weeks with what was officially diagnosed as a hamstring strain, the same type of injury that caused the Duke alum to miss the first eight games of the year. In the place of Knueppel and Miller, the Hornets will have to decide on two new starters, likely Grayson Allen, who got his first start of the season Friday against the Celtics. Sion James, Royce O’Neale and Tidjane Salaun are likely candidates to replace Miller at the small forward position.

For Cleveland, they’ll be without Jaylon Tyson and Sam Merrill, while Jarrett Allen has been listed as questionable.
