· · 1 min read

Holmes Junior made history this Sunday for Girona FC by becoming the fourth youngest player to debut with the first team. The defender, born on August 8, 2009, played his first match for Girona at just 17 years and 8 days old, during the team’s league opener against CD Leganés at Montilivi, which ended in a 1-1 draw.

With this debut, Holmes Junior joins an exclusive historical ranking led by Arseni Comas, who debuted with the first team at 16 years, 4 months, and 8 days old. The second spot belongs to Narcís Julià, who debuted at 16 years, 5 months, and 25 days, while the third is held by Enric García, who debuted at 16 years, 11 months, and 9 days.

Holmes Junior, therefore, directly enters the TOP 4 of the youngest debutants in Girona FC’s history, ahead of players like Roberto Fresnedoso, Xavier Julià, or Joel Roca.
