Kasper Hogh is ready to be “thrown into the fire” after joining Celtic from Bodo/Glimt in a club-record £11m deal.
Hogh has penned a four-year contract at Celtic Park, which contains the option to extend his stay by a further 12 months, following two-and-a-half years with Bodo.
Having joined Bodo from fellow Eliteserien side Stabaek in January 2024, Hogh scored 54 goals in 103 appearances for the club, helping them win the Norwegian title in 2024.
Hogh was also the joint-leading goalscorer in the 2024-25 Europa League, netting seven goals to match Bruno Fernandes and Ayoub El Kaabi, as Bodo reached the semi-finals and lost to eventual champions Tottenham.
The Denmark international then scored five Champions League goals in 2025-26 as Bodo reached the round of 16, registering memorable victories over Manchester City, Atletico Madrid and Inter, the latter across two legs in the knockout-round play-offs.
The 25-year-old arrives in Glasgow following the departures of Daizen Maeda and Kelechi Iheanacho, as the Bhoys prepare for their first full season back under the management of Martin O’Neill.
“I’m so happy. When I came into the room and saw the shirt, I was really excited,” Hogh told the club’s website. “The history of the club is so big.
“I spoke with some people and with my family about the club. The feeling they had, and the feeling I had in my stomach, was that this was a really good match.
“I’ve trained throughout the summer, and I’ve already played league games in Norway, so I feel ready. I just want to get started and be thrown into the fire.”

Hogh is Celtic’s second signing of the transfer window, after fellow attacker Camilo Duran joined from Qarabag.
They open their Premiership season at home to Dundee on August 3, while they also have a Champions League qualification play-off to come later in the month.
