HILLSDALE COUNTY — Week 5 of Hillsdale County high school football is here. After this midseason gauntlet, the playoff picture will become clearer for teams looking to make a run at a postseason berth. For others, it will solidify who is in contention for an 8-player conference title this season.

Hillsdale looks to play spoiler against D6 No. 3 ranked Clinton, who is undefeated and leading the LCAA Conference standings. Clinton hasn’t allowed a single point in two weeks against conference competition.
Over in Jonesville, the D7 No. 9 ranked Comets host Manchester. Manchester is 3-1 after routing Grass Lake 46-0. Jonesville is looking to bounce back at home.
Reading hosts Vermontville Maple Valley and is looking to win its first home game under new coach Gavin Wisel.
Over in 8-player action, Pittsford battles North Adams-Jerome. Waldron takes on Burr Oak in a must-win road matchup. Camden-Frontier hosts Litchfield in a longtime rivalry showdown.
