Voss played quarterback at Jackson County Central (JCC) High School, but he transitioned to tight end with the Gophers. Listed at 6-foot-4, 235 pounds, he has plenty of long-term potential, and he is already showing that.

He played nine offensive snaps in Week 1 against Eastern Illinois, four in Week 2 against Mississippi State, and he scored his first career touchdown in his third game. It was a beautiful 16-yard reception from Drake Lindsey that gave Minnesota an early 7-0 lead. It will be fascinating to see how his role grows throughout the season.
