The previous week of the 2026 high school football season was nearly a perfect one for this sports reporter.
I went 8-1 last week, only missing St. Edward’s 30-24 victory at Okeechobee. But even with that blemish, I was able to extend the cushion over the audience to a four-game lead over the course of the season.
