High Potential season 3 gets an official premiere date at ABC.
There are a lot of directors that the hit procedural could go into for High Potential season 3. One of the biggest questions is how the series will handle the departure of Captain Wagner, as Steve Howey is leaving the role after a relatively brief run. It’s a particularly significant shift since the character was set up as a potential love interest for Kaitlin Olson’s Morgan Gillory.
Changes are also taking place behind the camera. Longtime showrunner and executive producer Todd Harthan is departing High Potential to pursue other projects under the Disney umbrella. Taking over will be Nora and Lilla Zuckerman, who previously worked on Rian Johnson’s murder mystery series Poker Face and are also set to write Scream 8.
The network has confirmed that the Olson-led procedural will return on Tuesday, January 5, at 9 PM ET. The network’s Tuesday night lineup will begin with the Will Trent season 5 premiere at 8 PM. Then, at 10 PM, there will be the debut of the two-part docuseries Surviving a Scandal. As previously noted, High Potential season 3 will also be getting a special broadcast after Super Bowl LXI on Sunday, February 14 at 10:15 PM ET.
