Former Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has named Barcelona winger Lamine Yamal as the 2026 Ballon d’Or discussion heats up.
Ibrahimovic appeared in an episode of Netflix’s show ‘Cold as Balls’, where host Kevin Hart asked him which modern-day players he supports.
The former Sweden international immediately named Yamal, prompting loud cheers from the audience.
“If I have to choose. I would say Yamal. He is my guy today,” Ibrahimovic said.
It should be noted that Ibrahimovic’s endorsement has nothing to do with the Ballon d’Or voting process, but it is nonetheless a show of support from one of football’s most recognisable figures.
