Hannah Meese, John Brock are Oct. 26-Nov. 1 Akron-Area Athletes of Week

Athletes from Hudson and Woodridge high schools won the voting for the Akron-Area High School Athlete of the Week for Oct. 26-Nov. 1.

Hannah Meese is the girls winner and John Brock wins for the boys. Meese, a soccer player for Hudson, received 66.1% of the votes cast. Brock, a cross country runner for Woodridge, received 63.7% of the votes cast.

A total 511 votes were cast overall. Look for more on each athlete below.

Hannah Meese, Hudson soccer

Had a hat trick and two assists in an 8-0 win over Hoover in the Division II, Northeast 7 district final.

John Brock, Woodridge cross country

Ran a 15:37.9 to place second in the Division III race at the Boardman regional.
