Guardians game vs. Royals Friday delayed due to inclement weather

The Cleveland Guardians game Friday, Sept. 25, against the Kansas City Royals is facing a weather delay due to inclement weather.

The game will kick off the final series of the Guardians’ season. Cleveland clinched its third consecutive MLB postseason berth earlier this week with a win over the Boston Red Sox, who are also playoff-bound.

GuardiansTV announced a new start time of 8:20 p.m. ET, roughly an hour after the scheduled first pitch.

Entering the final series of the season against the Royals, the Guardians are 83-76 and hold the top spot in the AL Central standings.

The Royals, by contrast, enter the three-game set against Cleveland with a 68-91 record. They are in last place in the AL Central.
