Thirty-one of the 32 first-round picks in the 2026 NFL draft have signed their contracts. Quarterback Fernando Mendoza, the first overall selection, signed his deal with the Las Vegas Raiders on Thursday.
That leaves Alabama QB Ty Simpson, the 13th overall pick by the LA Rams, as the lone player chosen in the first round unsigned. Apparently, “secondary contract language” is the holdup. One would have thought Simpson would be anxious to to sign, given how questioned the Rams’ choice of him was.
