Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs accused of abuse by 3 more women following arrest
The Green Bay Packers had the worst rushing offense in the NFL before Josh Jacobs returned to the field. Since he has come back from his stay on the commissioner’s exempt list, nothing has improved. Even after their win on Thursday Night Football, Green Bay is still averaging just 60.6 rushing yards a game, and Jacobs is averaging a woeful 2.3 yards per carry.
Jacobs’ stay on the aforementioned exempt list was due to his arrest and eventual plea of no contest on charges of domestic violence. His continued presence on the Packers roster is a source of controversy surrounding the team, as many fans want Green Bay to part ways with him.
Green Bay Packers running back Josh Jacobs accused of violence against three other women
On Saturday morning, NBC26 in Green Bay reported that they have received some unredacted files regarding Jacobs’ case. These files do not include the video of the alleged abuse, which is what the NFL and multiple news agencies were trying to obtain.
However, the files do show that three other women have accused the Packers running back of domestic violence dating back to 2022.
“According to the records, the woman alleged Jacobs slapped her across the face and later took the her cellphone as she attempted to leave his residence. The woman told investigators that Jacobs grabbed her by the hair, threw her onto a bed, pinned her down and later threw her onto the floor. The woman also alleged Jacobs spit on her and grabbed her by the throat.”
That was just the first woman, who said she did not report her experience with the Packers running back to police until he was arrested in May of 2026 because he believed her experience with Jacobs was relevant to the case in Green Bay.
Unfortunately, she was not the only one:
“Another woman contacted police later that month, telling them that during an argument in April of 2021 Jacobs grabbed her by the arms and bicep area, pushed her against a wall near a window and threw her belongings outside the home. She said she suffered bruising to her arms and pain and swelling in her rib area.”
This woman did report it to police at the time, but was told they would not investigate as the two were not in a relationship at the time.
The third woman who previously accused Jacobs of violence did not report her experience to the police because the Packers running back said that, if she did, she could be deported:
“The report later described a phone call with a third woman in July who told Hobart/Lawrence Police that in May 2022 Jacobs placed his hands on her head and neck, dragged her, scratched her chest, and took possession of her cell phone after it fell to the floor. She said she suffered bruising to her arm and scratches to her chest which she said remained visible for about a month, according to the records.”
These are obviously very serious accusations, but apparently police have not yet found enough reason to file charges against Jacobs in these cases. However, they do present a disturbing pattern of behavior towards women of which they team may or may not have been aware.
It will be interesting to see how they handle this going forward.
