Last week, 19-year-old Carmello Brooks was suspended from the UH football team after he was accused of assaulting a pregnant woman he dated. However, the woman showed up in court and told ABC13, saying she was not assaulted and defended Brooks.

On Thursday, a grand jury no billed Brooks in the case. However, according to court records, Brooks still faces a misdemeanor charge of breaking a doorknob involving a dispute with a different pregnant woman. Records show that the misdemeanor case is still ongoing.
