Gov Idris appoints Sagiru Muhammad DG Protocol Affairs

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, has approved the appointment of Sagiru Haliru Muhammad as Director-General of the Directorate of Protocol Affairs.

The appointment takes effect from September 2, 2026.

The Secretary to the State Government, SSG, Alhaji Yakubu Bala Tafida, announced the appointment in a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday.

According to the statement, the appointment was based on merit, an exemplary track record and dedicated service to the state.

Governor Idris expressed confidence that the new Director-General would bring his experience, professionalism and commitment to bear on the effective administration of the Directorate of Protocol Affairs.

The governor urged Muhammad to discharge his responsibilities with diligence, a high sense of responsibility and dedication.

He said the appointment was in line with the administration’s commitment to advancing its administrative goals and development agenda in Kebbi State.
