FSU among three finalists for top safety target
The FSU Seminoles have made several big additions to their 2027 recruiting class in June, and they are in the hunt for several more top targets. Their highest-rated target is four-star safety Ta’Shawn Poole, and they received some good news on Tuesday.
Poole announced that he was down to three schools, and the Seminoles made the cut. They are battling the Tennessee Volunteers and Georgia Bulldogs for him, with a commitment coming “soon.”
While FSU and Tennessee have been recruiting him the longest, he is from Macon, Georgia, and the Bulldogs can not be taken lightly. He has already officially visited the Seminoles and Vols, with FSU receiving numerous predictions to land his commitment after his visit to Tallahassee.
Poole is ranked as the No. 64 overall player and No. 5 safety in the 247Sports composite and would become their highest-ranked commit should he pick them.
FSU currently has 10 commitments in its 2027 recruiting class, and three-star Jemari Foreman is the only safety. His recruitment is far from over, with the Louisville Cardinals pushing hard for the flip. Adding Poole to their recruiting class would be a massive win for the Seminoles, who need to get back to recruiting the top players in the country.
