England captain Harry Kane showed off his cricketing skills and sense of humour as the Three Lions continued preparations for the FIFA World Cup, with the star striker playfully offering his services to England Cricket and IPL champions Royal Challengers Bengaluru.
On Tuesday, England’s footballers swapped the training pitch for a cricket field during a team bonding session ahead of the World Cup. Kane was among the players enjoying the game and later shared multiple photos of his exploits on social media.

The post comes just days after Kane congratulated Virat Kohli and Royal Challengers Bengaluru on their successful IPL title defence.
The Bayern Munich forward, who shares a friendship with Kohli, had praised the Indian cricket icon following RCB’s five-wicket victory over Gujarat Titans in the IPL 2026 final.
“What a player and what a knock @virat.kohli! Congrats @royalchallengers.bengaluru on making it back to back IPL titles,” Kane wrote on Instagram.
RCB’s latest triumph cemented their place among the IPL’s elite franchises.
After ending an 18-year wait for a maiden title in 2025, the Bengaluru-based side successfully defended their crown in 2026, becoming only the third team after Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians to win consecutive IPL titles.
Meanwhile, Kane remains central to England’s World Cup ambitions, although manager Thomas Tuchel is expected to carefully manage the striker’s workload during the group stage due to concerns over extreme weather conditions across tournament venues in the United States, Mexico and Canada.
The 32-year-old enjoyed another prolific season with Bayern Munich, scoring 61 goals in 51 appearances across all competitions. He has also maintained his remarkable form for England, netting five times in five matches since September 2025.
England open their World Cup campaign against Croatia, with Ollie Watkins and Ivan Toney also expected to play key roles as Tuchel looks to keep his captain fresh for the latter stages of the tournament.
